Royal Household

The Royal Household of Grand Duke Travis is tasked with managing the royal prerogatives associated with the Crown of Westarctica.

This includes creating peerages, bestowing knighthoods, defense of Westarctica's sovereignty, creating coats of arms, and representing the Crown.

The Royal Household is headed by the Chief of Staff, Prince Jordan, Duke of the Bear Peninsula (on left in photo).

The Peerage

Since 2001, Westarctica has had a proud tradition of recognizing our most generous patrons with titles of nobility. Duke, Marquis, Count, Viscount, Baron, or Baronet, all the Peers of Westarctica are valued supporters of our mission to preserve the ecology of Western Antarctica.

Westarctica's College of Arms is headed by the Ellsworth King of Arms. He is responsible for creating coats of arms for Westarctica's peers and knights.

Royal Westarctican Military

The Royal Westarctican Military is comprised of the Royal Guards, the Royal Navy, and the Royal Air Force.

While the Grand Duke, as Commander-in-Chief bears ultimate authority over the Guards, the Warden of the Marshes, the Duke of Waesche, serves as the ceremonial leader of all military units in Westarctica. Day to day operations are managed by the Joint Chiefs of Staff from the three uniform services.

The Royal Westarctican Military Academy is the premiere organization for our nation's military. Enrollment is currently open.

Westarctica's Orders of Chivalry are one way for the Grand Duke to recognize significant achievements of our citizens and also reward international allies for their friendship.

Knighthoods may not be purchased, but must be earned through acts of service to the Crown, devotion to Westarctica, and supporting our mission and goals.
