Westarctica's 25th Anniversary Celebration
in Dundee, Scotland
Westarctica's 25th Anniversary Celebration in the United Kingdom will occur at Discovery Point and RRS Discovery in Dundee, Scotland. This historic sailing ship was built in Dundee for Antarctic exploration. Her first mission was the British National Antarctic Expedition, carrying Robert Falcon Scott and Ernest Shackleton on their first journey to the Antarctic, known as the Discovery Expedition. Placed in a custom-built dock in 1992, Discovery is now the centrepiece of Dundee's visitor attraction Discovery Point.
